Light Trails & Night Photography in Sheffield

This set of photos were taken during an evening photo walk organised by Going Digital. It was a very pleasant way to spend the evening.

I don’t often use my tripod as I normally carry as little kit as possible and the tripod is one of the first things to be left behind. It’s good having to slow down for long exposures though and it’s something I’ve not had a go at for a very long time.

This was a lot of fun in a city like Sheffield, where there’s a lot happening in the early evening, and lots of lights and reflective surfaces. I’m not currently convinced that I could do that much in my home village - but that’s a challenge I’ll think about!

I’ve got a handful of workshops booked, going into 2022:

  • A day of ‘URBEX’ photography at a castle in Derbyshire

  • Water action with dogs near Sheffield

  • Two days of access to historic buildings in Nottingham

  • Birds of prey in Sherwood Forest

It’s the dog one I’m really looking forward to!
